Letters Bookshelf Alphabet Design

This bookshelf design by Pieter de Leeuw just graduated as an Industrial Designer, and this project is his thesis. The project consists in letters that have various colors that can be arranged to the user’s liking.

The letters are made of EPS with a wear-resistant coating. From my perspective this project this is not to practical, but if you have a lot of space you could create an interesting effect. You can these pieces on display now at Utrecht Verplettert in The Netherlands through October 25th.

Fancy Cover LEGO Styled Kitchen Design

I have to admit that I love unique things, and things that have something unusual. So what do you say about styling your kitchen interior with LEGO pieces ? Two Paris-based designers ( Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti ) created the Munchausen LEGO Kitchen that centres around an IKEA kitchen island, which (over a week) they proceeded to cover with more than 20,000 LEGO pieces …quite impressive.

The two have recently contributed a collection of T-shirts, cushions, wallpaper and accessories for the new French label Commune de Paris, 1871. Munchhausen was one of three initial contributors for Commune de Paris, 187.

Make a Tree Look Like a Giant Plant with the Tree Pot

If you are looking for some ideas for your garden, then this might be something interesting. Have you ever tought at a pot for a tree ? Just take a look at these images to see how a tree would look like in a pot.

The Treepot can create the illusion that there is actually a pot, but the pot is made out of 2 identical parts. It can be placed around trees which are already there, so no cutting, chopping otherwise digging is necessary, simply click the 2 parts of the Treepot around it also top up with gravel. The pot also provides a perfect seating place also can be filled with water to weigh it down. The Tree Pot has 120 cm diameter, and 50 cm high, and if you want to order more than 6 pieces they ( PID ) can make it any colour you want.

In One Product Design Bathroom Faucet & Flower Vase

Finally this design is for someone who really loves flowers and wants to see them each morning when going to the bathroom to wash their face and hands. Designed by Davide Vercelli for HegoWaterDesign this is a new approach to bathroom design, a clever combined bathroom faucet & flower vase design.

Sure think that someone who loves flowers will appreciate this design. Even without the flower the design is quite compelling, including simple, clear resin handles and a likewise transparent basin leading up to a channel that culminates in an elegant waterfall.

Hand Knitted Lamp

I’ve noticed that DIY websites are more and more popular over the internet, and it seems that more and more people seem to join this trend. Today here is a design by Philippe Tyberghien, the designer behind Cercle et Carre that might be a source of inspiration for all the DIY people.

This lamp is made of a flexible plastic cone covered with the knitting and extended by the wiring of a length of 4.5 m also hand knitted. The lighting (energy saving) is live at the base of the cone and indirectly through the mesh. The unusual length of the cable allows the clashes and a wide variety of positions. Hanging on the wall, like a coiled snake, running along the ground, etc.
